πŸ“Œ California Road Trip: Eastern Sierra on Highway πŸ“Œ California Road Trip: Eastern Sierra on Highway 395 πŸš—πŸ”οΈ I spent last weekend chasing fall foliage along Highway 395, and it’s one of my favorite scenic drives in California, especially during autumn! πŸ‚ The best part is that there are so many beautiful stops along the way, from Mono Lake and June Lake Loop to Mammoth Lakes and Alabama Hills. If you’re planning a road trip along the Eastern Sierra, here are the spots to add to your itinerary! πŸ’Ύβœ¨ πŸ“Mono Lake πŸ“June Lake Loop πŸ“Mammoth Lakes πŸ“Twin Falls Overlook πŸ“Mammoth Lakes Basin πŸ“Devils Postpile & Rainbow Falls πŸ“Convict Lake πŸ“Hot Creek Geological Site πŸ“Wild Willy’s Hot Springs πŸ“Crowley Lake πŸ“Alabama Hills National Scenic Area πŸš— I started my route from the SF Bay Area, but if you’re coming from Los Angeles, you can switch the order and start at Alabama Hills before driving north along Highway 395. ✨ I recommend spending 3–4 days exploring this route. Mammoth Lakes and Bishop are both great bases for your stay, with convenient access to many of the lakes, hiking trails, and scenic stops along the way. πŸ‚ If you’re visiting for fall foliage, keep in mind that peak colors vary each year depending on the weather and elevation.
